Computer Application Department of Dr. Khoobchand Baghel Govt. PG College was established in the year 2013 and is now recognized as one of the leading departments with infrastructure and facilities. The Department of Computer Application offeres following courses –

1.      Post Graduate Diploma in Computer Application (PGDCA) - 1^st July, 2013  - 100 Seats

2.      B.Com. (Computer Application) - 1^st July, 2013 – 30 Seats

 

DEPARTMENTAL ACTIVITIES

·      Department organised One Month Spoken Tutorial for computer courses from 24.10.2016 under the auspices of IIT Mumbai.

·      Department organised 15 days special classes from 18.11.17 for Hindi and English Typing for the students of the college.

·      Seminar organised on “ANSI C” by Mr. Jaypraksh Chandrikapure on 13/11/17 for the students of PGDCA.

·      Department conduct Office Staff and Teaching Staff Computer Training program from 17.09.18 to 29.09.18.

·      Industrial Visit at Parle G Factory, Raipur on 18/01/19.

·      Guest organised on “Database and Data Mining” on 09/12/2019 by Dr. Durgesh Kotangale, HoD Computer Department, Science College, Durg.

·      Department  conduct Guest Lecture on “ Artificial Intelligence & Expert System” by Dr. Mamta Singh, HoD, Sai Mahavidhyalay , Sector 6 , Bhiali on 03/01/2020.

·      Industrial visit at Bhioramdeo Co-orperative Sugar Production Factory, Kawardha (C.G.) on 19/01/2020.

·      Industrial Visit at CAPS Icecream Factory, Raipur (C.G.) on 2/3/2020 organised by CITCON.

·      Department organised National Level E- Quiz competition “Computer Talk” from 22-06-2020 to 25-06-2020.

·      Department organised Online Workshop on “Woman Empowerment” on the occasion of Mother’s Day on 10.05.2021.

·      Department organised 1 month Online “ Value Added Course in Computer Learning for Business Application Program” for Students of the College from 18/06/2021.

·      Department celebrated “World Youth Skill Day” on 15/07/2021.

·      Department conduct Seminar on “Web Development Program” on 12/08/2021 by Ms.Salma Mod. Safi, HoD, Bhilai Mahila Mahavidyalay, Sector 9, Bhilai.

·      Department celebrated “Worlds Computer Literacy Day” on 02/12/2021.

·      Department  organised 1 Month “Value Added Program” from 06/05/2022

·      Skill Development Program organised by the department for PGDCA students every year.   

·      Extrusion Tour and Industrial visit through EDP, EAC, students of Computer Department  participated actively.

·      During Covid-19 Pandemic the students of Computer Department participated in many online competitions.
