The department of Zoology was established in year 1983 at UG Level.The department offers B.Sc. in Zoology, Chemistry and Botany.The department presently caters about 300 UG students.The department endeavour to encourage well rounded development of the students through assorted academic and co- curricular activities.

·          Zoology Department Organizedscience exhibition and students participated by making Model and Charts held on 27th November 2018.

·          Zoology Department Organized science based (Bio) Rangoli competition held on 06thDecember 2021.

·         Bio club Organized online slogan competition safety of corona-19.

·         Bio club Organized online poster making competition on the occasion of World Environment Day.

·         Bio club celebrated online Yoga Day 2020-21.

·         Zoology Department Organized Online state level E-Quiz Competition.

·         Zoology Department Organized Online state level PPT Competition held on 27th April to 30th April 2021.

·         Bio club organized lecture (prevention of dengue) delivered by Dr. Jyoti Rani Singh and distribution of dengue medicine for science students held on 20th August 2018.

·         Insufficient technical staff (lab technician, attendant).

·         Insufficient lab capacity.

Future plans of the department

      Department is planning to the further extension of science facilities to provide additional laboratories, advanced instruments teaching spaces, etc. 

      Department is organized Workshops, webinars, e-quiz and Seminars at National and International level.

      Department improve the teaching by Computer aided programs (ICTS).

      To increase the employability amongst students by organizes new job oriented workshops.
